What is the Family Fund?

The Family Fund was created to allow associates to help fellow associates in times of need. The Fund provides financial assistance to Blank Family of Businesses (BFOB) associates who have experienced a recent emergency or event resulting in financial hardship.

Background

Established in 2023, The Family Fund provides financial assistance to Blank Family of Businesses associates who experience personal, unexpected, unavoidable, emergency situations or catastrophic events.

Following two Core Values of the Blank Family of Businesses – Put People First and Give Back to Others – The Fund was created to provide an opportunity for BFOB associates to financially help fellow associates impacted by emergency situations or catastrophic events and help them and their immediate family get back on their feet.

The Fund is sustained by associate giving. All full-time and part-time BFOB associates are eligible to contribute to The Fund through bi-weekly payroll deduction.

"We are beyond grateful to The Family Fund for their support — their assistance made a real difference in our family’s life during a time when we needed it most."

The Family Fund was there for our family during an incredibly challenging time. As any parent knows, raising a child comes with significant expenses — and with twins, those costs can quickly multiply. When our twins, Cooper and Rory, were just six months old, we were informed that both would need cranial helmets to correct issues that had developed during pregnancy. This condition is quite common and understandable — after all, there's only so much room in the womb.

We were shocked to learn during our visit to Cranial Technologies that our insurance would not cover the cost of the helmets. Each helmet came with a $5,000 out-of-pocket price tag. As parents of three children under the age of three, we were overwhelmed and unsure how we would manage this unexpected expense.

That's when The Family Fund came to our rescue. Their generous grant covered 75% of the total cost, lifting an enormous burden off our shoulders. The application process was straightforward, communication was clear and supportive, and from our initial outreach to receiving the funds took less than two weeks.

PS - When we found out that Cooper needed a 2nd helmet, the Family Fund was there again to save the day!
